Lib Dems continue fight for Oak Park Hospital Services
Monday 1 February 2010
The NHS Hampshire Board did not vote on stopping the Oak Park Hospital at their meeting on 28th January but the new Chief Executive and Board members made it clear that there would be no new hospital building. Some services would be provided from the Children's Services Centre near the proposed hospital site. The minor injury service and endoscopy have been taken out of their plan.

Local Lib Dems are adamant that the new minor jury unit would take pressure of the QA hospital. The Board will discuss how the replacement elderly mental health and step down beds will be provided at their September meeting. Meanwhile your Lib Dem team including Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Alex Payton are attending all the meetings and fighting had for these much needed local services including a minor injury unit.
