Lib Dems hold meeting about Warren Dam
Thursday 10 February 2011
Following the bowl filling with water a number of times due to heavy rainfall since the dam opened last year, there have been safety concerns.
Lib Dems called for a meeting with the Environment Agency regarding concerns about safety, and after a three month wait a meeting has now been held to examine issues at the Warren Dam.
Agreement has been reached about a lifebelt at the site, a procedure to be followed when there is deep water, information to schools on water safety, and regular cleaning of the paths and bridge.
