Major Leigh park project approved

The £400,000 work to provide cycle track and improvements to Sombourne Drive and the Leigh Park shopping centre was approved today. Ann Buckley said’ we have pressed for a long time for improvements to Sombourne Road where it has been dangerous trying to exit the car par and also for improvements to the shopping centre. Faith Ponsonby’s long campaigning for some free car parking spaces in the shopping centre has also paid off.
