September By-election Results

Liberal Democrat, Fred Dunford, came within 48 votes of a sensational win from the Tories in the Waterloo byelection on September 4th. The result showed a 12% swing from The Conservative Party, leaving The Labour Party trailing a poor third.
Ray Bastin - The Conservatives - 849 votes - 48.51%
Fred Dunford - Liberal Democrats - 801 votes - 45.77%
Howard F Sherlock - The Labour Party - 95 votes - 5.42%
